Markus Ljunggren serves as Vice President of Professional Services for EMEA and LAC at GDS Link, where he leads all client onboarding, solution deployment, and support services across Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and Latin America. With a focus on executional excellence and long-term client success, Markus plays a critical role in helping financial institutions and fintechs operationalize GDS Link’s credit risk decisioning solutions in highly diverse and regulated markets.

Based in Madrid, Markus began his journey at GDS Link as a Business Consultant before rising into a leadership position that he has held for more than a decade. Under his direction, the regional Professional Services team has become known for its responsiveness, consistency, and ability to deliver at scale—serving top-tier banks and innovative lenders across multiple geographies.

Before joining GDS Link, Markus built deep expertise in credit risk and international consulting through roles at CRIF, where he worked in both Italy and Russia. His career began in economic research and financial services roles in Italy, following the completion of a Master’s degree in Economics from the University of Bologna.

Fluent in four languages and with over 15 years of domain experience, Markus combines cross-cultural communication skills with technical and operational know-how. His leadership ensures that every client implementation not only meets scope and regulatory standards but also supports the client’s long-term strategic growth.
